Margaret A. Moore-Ovist, 54 of Beloit WI died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Beloit Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born July 5, 1958 in Freeport to Roy and Marion (Parriott) Moore Jr. She married Howard Ovist on January 18, 2006 in Beloit WI who passed away December 14, 2012.
Margaret started losing her eyesight at the age of 12 and soon after was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She was a graduate of Freeport High School and worked at Micro Switch in Freeport until she was no longer able to work. Margaret became totally blind, but was able to make beautiful afghans and was in a knitting club. Due to her having MS for the past 40 years she always kept a positive attitude and enjoyed life as much as possible.
Surviving is her brother Richard Moore of Dakota; sister Patty (Jeff) Robertson of Freeport; nieces Alicia (Brandon) Thomas of Ft Rucker AL, Kari (Todd Penticoff) Robertson of South Beloit, and Shawn (Christi) Robertson of Lena. Great nieces Brinklei and Bekett Thomas of Ft. Rucker AL; and great nephews Hunter and Wyett Thyberg of Lena.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents.
Cremation rights have been accorded by Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium of Beloit Wi. Visitation will be from ******* a.m. until the time of service Saturday, January 12th at Walkers Mortuary in Freeport.
A memorial has been established for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
