Freeport-Marian E. Kleckler, 86, of Freeport, died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Encore Senior Villa in Monroe, Wisconsin.
Born November 25, 1919 in Huron, South Dakota she was the daughter of Frank and Emma (Kuehn) Babcock. She married Floyd E. Kleckler February 18, 1939 in Dubuque, Iowa and he died January 30, 1993 in Freeport.
She graduated from Freeport High School in 1938.
Marian farmed with her husband for several years and then worked for Burgess Battery and then Micro Switch Company from which she retired in 1981.
She was a past 4 H Leader and a member of the Priscilla Club.
Surviving is her son, Brian Kleckler; her daughter, Janet (Tom Eberle) Heffner both of Freeport; 3 grandchildren, Dennis (Brenda) Heffner of Solon Springs, Wisconsin, Cheryl (Robert) Sherman of St. Charles, and Michael (Patti) Heffner of East Bethel, Minnesota; 2 great grandchildren, Keeley Sherman and Hailey Heffner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 son, Barry; 1 sister; and 2 brothers.
Funeral service will be Thursday 11:30 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the Mortuary.
