Marie M. Folgate, 95, of Freeport, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
Born November 27, 1914 in Stockton she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Reiland. She married Ransom (Randy) Folgate May 15, 1937 and he died September 29, 1979.
She worked at Micro Switch for 32 years retiring in 1977.
She was a life time member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
An avid bowler Marie enjoyed reading, card club, and was a sports enthusiast.
Surviving is her daughter, Diane (Ed) Palus of Clearwater, Florida, her son, Robert E. (Susan) Folgate of Freeport; 3 grandchildren, Peter (Karen) Palus and Mark Palus both of Tampa, Florida, and Benjamin Folgate of Weed, California; 3 great grandchildren, Carly, Joey, and Jackson Palus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and her dear friend, Bob Geiser.
Funeral service will be Friday 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary where at 7 p.m. there will be a prayer service.
