Marilyn I Schock, 95, of Pecatonica passed away, peacefully in her home on Monday April13th, 2026. She was born August 13th, 1930 in Harrison Illinois to Kenneth and Florence (Swartz) Craig. Marilyn graduated from Dakota High School in 1949. On October 21, 1950 she married Vernon Schock in Rockford Illinois. Vernon passed away June 7th, 1995.

Marilyn worked at Eickman’s Meat Processing, 4 Seasons Bowling Alley and 3rd Street Station. She was a Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. Marilyn loved to play Euchre and spend time with family.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Craig Schock of Pecatonica; daughter, Diane (James) Julius, Texas; and sister, Linda (Gale) Wilhems of Ridott, Illinois. She also has nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon; two sons Robert and Mike; and two brothers, Allen and Wayne.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota, IL. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Harrison Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
