Marion M. Walters, 87, of Freeport, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Stephenson Nursing Center.
Born December 29, 1925 in Freeport she was the daughter of William and Sadie (Rabuck) Lower. She married Paul Walters December 31, 1951 and he preceded her in death.
Marion and her husband farmed from 1951 thru 1979 in the North McConnell area.
An avid reader she enjoyed bingo, going to auctions, and crafting. Marion was known for her awesome baking.
She is the last member of her immediate family. Surviving are nieces and nephews; great; great great; and great great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Bruce Burrows; two brothers; and six sisters.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Walker Mortuary.
There will be a gathering of friends and family on Wednesday 1 p.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for FHN Memorial Hospice.
