Obituary

Marjorie G. Boals, 80, from Afolkey IL passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2017. She was born October 25, 1936, she was the daughter of Lewis Klaas and Pearl Selleck. On June 19, 1955, Marjorie married Bernard Boals in Dakota.
Marjorie graduated from Dakota High School class of 1955 and was a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Afolkey. She had a special gift of connecting with everyone she met and always seemed to leave an impact. She loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids so much. Cooking and baking for family, friends and church events. She thoroughly enjoyed her garden and flowers. Mom and Dad also loved fishing and spending time at their place in the Dells.
Marjorie is survived by three sons, Brian Boals of Rockford, Bennett (Wendy) Boals and Bradley (Sherry) Boals of Orangeville; two daughters, Brenda Gutzmer of Monticello, Wis. And Barb (Jim) Sheedy of South Elgin; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and sister Lorraine (Bill) Houghton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; in-laws; and many very dear friends.
A visitation will be held Sunday, August 6th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota, IL. The funeral service will be Monday, August 7th at 11:00 am at Bethel United Methodist Church in Afolkey. Interment will take place at the Afolkey Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name
