Marjorie L. Brandt, 83, of Freeport, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born April 11, 1925 in Waterman she was the daughter of Reverend Floyd and Ada (Michael) Mertz. She married Robert L. Brandt June 19, 1946 in Forreston and they farmed near Lena.
Marjorie received her degree from North Central College.
She attended First Baptist Church.
Marjorie worked for Job Service for 28 years.
She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and taking walks in the woods.
Surviving are her daughters, Carol S. Brandt and Laura L. Kubik; 1 granddaughter, Kathryn Kubik; and 1 sister, Joyce (Richard) Tolbert all of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 sister, Dorothy; and 2 brothers, Kenneth and Robert.
Funeral service and burial will be Tuesday 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
