German Valley – Marjorie J. Juergens, 91 of German Valley passed away peacefully at FHN Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 24, 2022.  She was born on February 15, 1931 to Orville and Ruth (Taylor) Blair.  She married Wilbur Juergens on September 20, 1953 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Stockton.

Marjorie worked at Micro Switch.  She was a 60+ year member of the Grace Valley Christian Reformed Church.  She was a member of the "Sonshine" Singers, the Stephenson County Antique Engine Club, the Stephenson County Farm Bureau, the Ladies Aid at church, Stephenson County Home Extension, the Christian Women's Club, the Church Ladies Sextet singing group and she & Wilbur hosted 22+ international students from 1982-1993 from 15 different countries.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Cathy) Juergens of Freeport; daughters, Carlene (Dave) Downs of German Valley and Amy (Neal)   Ter Hark of Pecatonica; Brothers, Marlow (Ardele) Townsend of Monroe, WI; Meredith (Pat) Townsend of Stockton and Malcom "Mike" (Bonnie) Townsend of Stockton; Sisters Marilyn (Bob) Davey, Myrna (Jack) Gusloff and Maxine Franz, all of Freeport; Sisters-in-law, Miriam Blair of Stockton and Leola Juergens of German Valley as well as many nieces and nephews. Her legacy also includes 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband, father, mother, step-father  Lige Townsend; Brother Morris Blair; Sister- and brother-in-law Geraldine and Bill Tate; Brothers-in-law, Lehan 'Sam' Franz and Kenneth Juergens.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 4-7pm at Grace Valley Christian Reformed Church.  A service will follow on Saturday, October 29, 2022 beginning at 11:30am also at Grace Valley Church in German Valley.  Her final resting place will be in the Grace Valley Church cemetery.
