Marjorie I. LaBudde, 86, of Freeport, died Monday, December 22, 2008, at the University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Born January 17, 1922 in Ogle County she was the daughter of Clifford and Lillian (Martens) Erdman. She married Karl E. LaBudde November 5, 1942.
She worked at Burgess Battery for 25 years.
Her memberships include Trinity United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Stephenson County Antique Engine Club, which she was Queen in 1985, Women of the Moose, charter member Freeport Family Campers, and Stagecoach Sams.
Surviving are her husband, Karl; 1 daughter, Geraldine (Frank) Walker; 1 son, Duane (Viola) LaBudde; all of Freeport; 2 grandchildren, Patrick (Angie) LaBudde and Kimberly LaBudde both of Shannon; 5 great grandchildren, Austin, Wyatt, Zoie, Jason, and Paige; 2 sister in-laws, Doris Erdman of Freeport and June Erdman of Miami, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Funeral service will be Saturday 10:30 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverend Julie Bunt officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary where at 7 p.m. there will be Women of the Moose memorial service.
