Obituary
Mark A. Mooney, 47, of Freeport, died Friday, October 31, 2008, at his home after an extended illness.
Born July 10, 1961 in Freeport he was the son of William and Marian (Strohecker) Mooney.
Surviving are his mother, Marian of Freeport; 1 sister, Jeri (Douglas) Broge of Freeport; 2 brothers, Steven (Adrienne) Mooney of Freeport and William Mooney of Groveland; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and his Father.
Funeral service will be Monday 2 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Pastor Mark Vlad of Rock City New Beginnings Church officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday 1 p.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
Mark was a donor to the Gift of Hope.
