The world suffered a monumental loss on February 23rd, 2017, with the passing of Marlene May Oswalt; mother, sister, grandmother and close friend to many. Born on March 21st, 1935 to Lester and Evelyn Ottenhausen, she worked for Microswitch in Freeport for over 20 years and was married to Jim Oswalt for 66 years. Marlene loved nature and being outdoors. Camping near the Mississippi River, fishing, and visiting with friends and family was how she loved to spend her days. Survived by her sister Connie, her two sons Brian and Blair, and grandchildren Theo, Jessi, JoEllen and Heather as well as many extended family members and friends. Predeceased by her brother Michael, and parents Lester and Evelyn. This is a great loss, and Marlene will be missed by many. Memorial arrangements are pending
