Obituary

Freeport, Marlowe "Mike" R. Lehman, 77, of Freeport, died Thursday, December 16, 2004, at Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
Born March 19, 1927 in Orangeville he was the son of John and Lois Marie (Schwitz) Lehman. He married Joyce Albrecht November 2, 1947.
He worked for Micro Switch retiring in 1986.
A member of St. John United Church of Christ he was a World War II Army veteran.
An avid hunter and fisherman he enjoyed going to auctions.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce of Freeport; daughter, Julie (Anthony) Brennan of Reno, NV; son, Gerald Lehman of Bloomington; sisters, Kathleen (Lyn) Koonce of Murphysboro and Janice (Robert) Byler of Dakota; brother, Gene A. (Joann) Lehman of Orangeville; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
His parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Donnley Dutcher of St. John United Church Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday 5 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
Memorials have been established for St. John United Church of Christ and Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
