Marquette Cooley, 79 of Cedarville, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport. Born February 1, 1935 in Singer, LA he was the son of Isaac and Annie (Pierce) Cooley. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving are his wife Margaret (Ottenhausen) Cooley of Cedarville; three daughters Robin Cooley, Susan (Lance) Gulber, Sarah (Jeff) Achterberg; one son Scott Cooley; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, son Mark (April 5, 2014), stepmother Rose, three sister's Mildred, Monique, Margie. Per Marquette's wishes there will be no services and cremation rites have been accorded.
