Obituary
Freeport-Martha J. Mattingly, 73, of Freeport, died Tuesday July 1, 2003 at her home.
Born April 23, 1930 in Herrin she was the daughter of Dr. Robert J. and Reita Mae (Bridges) Hyslop.
She was a teacher and Librarian at the Pearl City Schools for 30 years.
Her memberships include, First Presbyterian Church, Girl Scouts U.S.A., and the YWCA.
Surviving are four sons, Robert Mattingly of Fitchburg, Wisconsin, James (Susan) Mattingly of Bloomington, Illinois, Daniel (Beverly) Mattingly of Lancaster, Wisconsin, Richard Mattingly of Frankfort, Illinois; one brother, Robert Hyslop of Minocqua, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Josh, Keith, Scott, Marcia, Krystina and Lucas Mattingly.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be Saturday 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Carol Shaffer officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Friends may call Saturday 11:30 a.m. until time of service at the First Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Association.
