Freeport – Martha Misner, 86 of Freeport passed away at Liberty Village Manor Court of Freeport on June 6, 2024.  She was born on November 30, 1937 to the late James and Marjorie (Dwyer) Crotty in West Dundee, Illinois.  She graduated in 1955 from St. Edward Catholic High School in Dundee, Illinois.  She married William Misner on January 2, 1965 in Dundee, Illinois and together they raised a family.

She enjoyed traveling with her family and attending Ice Hog games.

She is survived by her children, son, Jim Misner of Freeport; daughter, Tracy (Dick) Kauk of Albany, WI; Brothers-in-law Daniel (Mary Jane) Misner of Walworth, WI and Vernon Misner of Beloit, WI. Sister-in-law Donna (Marlin) of Dixon, IL.  Her grandchildren Phillip (Dr. Jessie) Kauk of East Lansing MI and Kirstie Kauk (Trent Davis) of Brodhead, WI. Along with her great grandchildren, Sydney and Jackie Kauk.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marjorie Crotty; her husband, William, her brother James (Ada) Crotty and sister Mary (Richard) Paul.  Sisters-in-law Alice (Vernon) Misner; Sandra Hanaman; Nancy Jensen and Lina Schuekne.  Brothers-in-law, Marlin (Donna) Misner and Kenneth (Sandra) Hanaman.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, June 29th at Calvary Cemetery in Freeport, Illinois at 11am.  Condolences can be shared with the family at www.walkermortuary.com.
