Marvin Lee Niedermeier , 91 of Rock City, IL, passed away February 7, 2018. He was born October 28, 1926 to Elmer and Freda Niedermeier of rural Epplyanna. Marvin served in the Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. He married Marilyn Snook July 10, 1954. They celebrated their 63 ^rd wedding anniversary in 2017. Marvin and Marilyn farmed in the Rock City area until his retirement at the age of 73.

Survivors include his children; Joseph, Mark (Robin), Brenda (Mark), Thomas (Jolene), Bonnie Dertz (Chris), David (Tara); and two brothers, Merle and Harold (Lois). Marvin had 29 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
