Mary Freeman, 49, of Freeport, died Monday, May 30, 2016, at the Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
She was born July 7, 1966 in Riverside, California. Mary married Joseph Freeman Sr.
Mary served in the U.S. Army.
She was Stephenson County Jail Superintendent for 20 years.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph Sr. of Freeport; her son, Joseph Jr. of Freeport; her granddaughter, Aziah Freeman of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Crossroads Community Church in Freeport. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Crossroads Community Church.
