Mary Louise Miller, 79, of Davis passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Born October 31, 1934 in Byron, she was the daughter of Clayton and Dora (Bakener) Hevrin. On November 27, 1959 she and Russell Miller were united in marriage. She farmed in the Davis area with her husband Russell for many years and worked for Swiss Colony in Monroe. Mary loved doing crafts, sewing, knitting and gardening. Surviving are her husband of Davis, five sons Russell (Ginny) Miller Jr. of Lake Summerset, Randy Miller of Dakota, Rodney (Carrie) Miller of Dakota, Rick (Dawn) Miller of Freeport, Robby (Lisa) Miller of Orangeville; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; two brothers Glen Hevrin of Rockford, Kenneth Hevrin of Byron; five sisters Virginia Gallop of Leaf River, Betty (Don) Pence of Rockford, Mildred Shrinski of Rockford, Carol (Neil) Holcomb of TX, Margie Hawkins of Rockford; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, great grandson Kyler. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Starks officiating. Burial will be at the Rock City Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name. The family wishes to give a Special Thank You to the Staff at Hospice Care of America.
