Bellevue, Iowa – Mary Margaret Paul, 88 formerly of Freeport passed away at home in the loving arms of family on November 2, 2025.  She was born on April 25, 1937 in Dubuque, Iowa to Fred and Margaret M. (Kramer) Ackerman.

She married Dwayne Edward Paul on June 21, 1958 in Dubuque, Iowa.  He died May 21, 2001.  Mary worked as a press operator at Structo Thermos, Micro Switch, Newell Manufacturing and as Data Operator at Bankers Mutual Insurance in Freeport, Il.  She was also a proud member of the Freeport Vietnow Chapter.

She is survived by her special friend, Daniel J. Mauer of Bellevue, Iowa; 2 daughters, Lisa M. (Ronald) Rose of Orangeville and Doreen K. Paul.  3 granddaughters, Dusty Marie Perkins, Amber Rose and Jessica (Hershel) Jackson. 2 grandsons, Cory Koester and Allan Paul.  several great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.She also has a Son-in-law, Ralph Tallman

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Debra Ann (Perkins) Tallman and 1 son, Russell E. Paul.

Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be a private family service held at a later date.  A memorial has been designated in her name and condolences can be shared with the family at www.walkermortuary.com

Her final resting place will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens next to her husband, Dwayne.
