Mary Lou Rosemeier, 83, of Freeport, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at the University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Born March 6, 1927 in Fennimore, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Will and Marie (Smith) Leckington. She married Arthur Rosemeier July 11, 1953.
She worked at Econo Foods until her retirement.
Her family and friends were very important to Mary Lou. A big bird watcher she knew all of the birds for Illinois.
Mary Lou loved sitting on her front porch watching people pass by and feeding the chipmunks. She had fond memories of singing in Sweet Adeline's.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur of Freeport; daughter, Patricia King of Loran; 2 sons, William D. (Deb) Rosemeier of Loran and William A. (Angie) Rosemeier of Freeport; 1 sister, Sue Jones of Loves Park; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 daughter, Cristti Lou Rosemeier Shifflet.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010 1:30 p.m. at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday 12noon until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
