Mary Therese Scudder, 77 of Freeport formerly of the Damascus area died Saturday, January 19, 2013 in rural Lafayette Co. WI. Born September 16, 1935 in Stephenson County she was the daughter of Willy and Emma Rose (Klotz) Alber. On June 4, 1960 she and Franklin Scudder were married at Lena. She worked at Micro Switch and Provena St. Joseph Home. She was a graduate of Aquin High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Freeport. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, cooking for the family and watching Wheel of Fortune. She is survived by her husband of Freeport, four children Therese Boudreau of Superior, WI, Rosemary (Dean) West of Rockford, Thomas (Denise) Scudder of Orangeville, Peggy (Sean) Omara of Freeport; seven grandchildren Anthony West, Kristin (Eric) Pence, Heather (Rafael) Camacho, Ashton (Matthew) Barr, Nate, Nick and Hope Boudreau; two great grandchildren Alexander Camacho and Emerson Dean Pence; five sisters Edith (Jamie) Dadez of Freeport, Irmgarde (Bob) Drier of Onalaska, WI, Betty (LaVerne) Keppen of Freeport, Rosie (Keith) Potnack of Freeport, Joann (Bill) Motter of Dakota; five brothers Walter (Regina) Alber of Monroe, WI, Herb (Erlene) Alber of AZ, Willy (Jean) Alber of Freeport, Ted (Marjorie) Alber of AZ, Joe (Ellen) Alber of CA.; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday 4pm until 8pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church Freeport. Funeral mass will be Friday 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Freeport. Burial will be at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
