Mary E. Veach, 75, of Freeport, died Sunday, May 22, 2016 at her home.
Born February 20, 1941 in Princeton, Illinois she was the daughter of Clarence and Mavis (Holly) Mease. She married Delbert E. Veach August 26, 1961.
She was a registered nurse working for local doctors, Freeport Hospital, and conducting Insurance physical exams. She spent most of her life being a homemaker taking care of her family.
She was a member of First Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Delbert of Freeport; her children, Lori (Howie) Lawler of Pearl City, Jennifer (Kevin) Stake of Baileyville, and Cynthia (Scott) Kappes of Freeport; 5 grandchildren, Corbin and Courtney Kappes of Freeport, Benjamin and Colton Stake of Baileyville, and Dalton Lawler of Pearl City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nellie Fischer; and her brother, Clarence "Bunky" Mease.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Internment of her cremated remains will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Private family only services will be held.
A memorial has been established for First Free Methodist Church.
