Freeport – Mary E. Weber, 99 of Freeport passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026 at Pearl Pavilion Nursing Center. She was born on September, 17, 1926 to Burtis and Mary (Scovill) Foltz. She and her husband, Charles were married on September 29, 1951 and together they build a life of fun and adventures. He passed away on August 10, 2011.

She worked for Newell Co for 26 years, retiring in 1988. Mary enjoyed crocheting, crafts, camping, spending time with her grandchildren, being a part of the Good SAM camping club and loving on her pets.

She is survived by her son, Dale (LeeAnn) Weber of Freeport, and daughter, Linda (Daniel) Wenzel of Galena, Illinois. Her legacy includes 6 grandchildren, Dale (Susan) Weber II of Galena; Amy (Brian) Duncan of Lena; Melissa (Matt) Dittmar of Scales Mound; Kasie (Richard) Bares of Oregon, WI; Greg Wenzel of Minocqua, WI; and Rebecca (Michael) Aupperle of Freeport.

Mary had 5 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Bonnie (Lyle) Raymond of Freeport.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

There will be a visitation held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 beginning at 10am and followed by a service at 11am, all at Walker Mortuary.

A memorial has been designated in her name for Friends Forever Humane Society. Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com
