Max E. Allen, 99, of Freeport, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
Born November 15, 1912 in Polo he was the son of Harry and Dulcie (Summers) Allen Sr. He married Marion Sandstrom and she preceded him in death.
He attended the University of Illinois.
Max was Director of Purchasing for Wells Manufacturing Company.
Surviving are his sister, Mona Blanchard of Polo; and 1 brother, Harry (Gwen) Allen of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and 1 son, Steve Allen; and 1 brother, Earl.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no funeral service.
