Maylene Marian Miller, 45, loving daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt, died Thursday March 11, 2004 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Chicago, IL. Born May 19, 1958, in Freeport, she was the daughter of Russell and Marian (Whitson) Miller of Kent. She was raised through her teens by her foster parents Andy and Peggy Christensen with her two sisters, foster brother and sister. From her teens until her passing she resided in Rockford.
She is survived by her mother Marian of Freeport; 5 brothers Steven (Pauline) Miller of Pearl City, John (Deb) Miller of Freeport, James (Donna) Miller of Westland, MI, Curt (Pennie) Miller of Pearl City, Charles (Lea) Miller of Freeport; 2 sisters Jeanneil (Don) Paul of Rockford, Janice (Terry) Scheider of Freeport; many nieces and nephews and friends from Singer, Stepping Stones and Fairview Heath Care Center who will truly miss her smile, laughter and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her father, paternal and maternal grandparents.
Friends may call Sunday from 4pm until 8pm at Walker Mortuary, 321 W. Main St. Freeport.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday March 15, 2004 at Walker Mortuary with the Rev. Dan Johnson of Pearl City St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
