Michael F. Fortner, 78 died Monday, January 11, 2021. Mike was born in Freeport on August 24, 1942, the son of Elmer and JoAnne (Blehinger) Fortner. He graduated from Freeport High School in 1960 and then was employed at Kelly Springfield Tire Company for 34 years until his retirement.

Mike was a car buff and was able to fix and repair just about anything. He was a lifelong Packer fan. Mike was a very generous soul and willing to help anyone in need.

Mike is survived by a sister, Barbara (Roger) Kerr. He is also survived by a daughter and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
