Michael J. Hatlak, 62, of Forreston, died Monday, January 18, 2016.
Born October 17, 1953 in New York, New York he was the son of Joseph and Madeline (Kenney) Hatlak. He married Katherine Ann Cote April 19, 1980 and she died March 26, 2006. He married Christine Lawton February 14, 2009.
Michael was a Vice President at Bank of America.
He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Freeport.
Surviving are his wife, Christine of Forreston; his children, Amanda Lawton of Forreston, Jason (Fiancé Whitney Diehl) Lawton of Freeport, Anthony (Kate) Lawton of Savoy, Nicholas (Brandy) Lawton of Newburg, Missouri, Angela Graczyk of Mesa, Arizona, Amy Graczyk of Lombard, and Lori Graczyk of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren, Austin Simonson, Trent, Audrey, Damian., William, Elizabeth, and Bella Lawton; his brother, James (Gayle) Hatlak of Green Bay, Wisconsin;; his niece, Kate Hatlak of Chicago; and his nephew, Adam (Lexi) Hatlak of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Walker Mortuary.
There will also be food and coffee following mass at This Is It Eatery, 18 Chicago in Freeport.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Wounded Warrior Project.
