Michael Jon Krause, 54, of Davis passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at University Hospital in Madison. Born July 19, 1960 in Freeport he was the son of Emroy and Alvina (Buss) Krause. Mike was a 1978 graduate of Dakota High School. After graduating he went to work for Barber Coleman now known as Crandall Stats and Sensors in Loves Park. On November 10, 1984 he and Sandy Jean Ledermann were united in marriage at the church by the side of the road in Rockton. He enjoyed being with his family, especially their trips to Florida, also watching videos of his grandchildren over and over, Star Trek, monster movies, watching sports and target shooting. Surviving are his mother, Alvina of Davis; wife, Sandy of Davis; two children, Tony (Ashley) Krause of Dixon, Jenny (Adam) King of Belmont, WI; two grandchildren, Autumn and Sydney Krause of Dixon; brother, Mark Krause of Davis; sister, Maxine (Tadd) Meier of South Wayne, WI. Preceding him in death was his father. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Dakota. Service will be 7 p.m. on Wednesday following the visitation with Reverend Dennis Buss and Reverend James Ketzel officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
