Michael "Fuzzy" M. Marcum , age 61 of Freeport, IL, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. He was born May 29, 1957; the son of the late James Marcum and Marilyn (Roemer) Shay. Fuzzy loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Shay; daughters, Emily Marcum and Jillane (Jason) Fransen; grandchildren, Zoe Klenz and Boden & Asher Fransen; sister, Beth (Clifford) Wilken; niece, Heather (Dennis) Foley; great Nieces and nephews, Logen, Makenzie & Wyatt; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James Marcum; step-father, Alfred Shay; and grandparents.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
