Freeport-Minerva Albert, 95, of Freeport, died Sunday, June 12, 2005 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born July 6, 1909 in West, Mississippi she was the daughter of George and Pearl (Riley) Pearson. She married Freddie E. Albert August 20, 1946 and he died June 3, 1977.
She worked at Burgess Battery for over 25 years until her retirement.
She was a member of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Rockford.
Surviving is her sisters, Juanita Thurmond of Freeport and Addie Cain of Madison, Wisconsin; 2 brothers, Johnnie Pearson of Excelsior, Minnesota and Sidney Pearson of Los Angles, CA; 3 grandchildren, Gerald Albert of Rockford, Deanna Griffin and Roosevelt Griffin Jr. both of Madison, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 2 children.
Funeral service will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ.
Burial will be in City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
