Obituary

Miriam B. Davis, 77, of Winnebago, formerly of Freeport and Monroe, died Saturday January 17, 2004 at her daughter's home in Winnebago..
Born November 23, 1926 in Middlesex, England she was the daughter of Harry and Bertha (Wall) Symonds. She married Jack Crawford in 1952 and he died in 1963. She married Jim Davis in 1970 and he died in 1971.
She and her husband owned Crawford Drug Store in Freeport and then she was the owner of the Dog & Suds in Monroe, Wisconsin retiring in 1979. After retiring, she moved to Flagstaff, Arizona and worked for the National Forestry Department. She moved back to Freeport in 1989.
Surviving is her daughter, Cathy C. (Terry) Edler of Winnebago; one son, James E. (Karen) Collins of Piedmont, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Anthony (Donna) Edler of Boonville, Missouri, Michelle (Chad) Smith of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Marcia (Mark) Boettner of Winnebago, and six great grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one brother; one sister.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial services and internment will be Thursday 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Peace in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Keith Boyer of Crossroads Community Church officiating.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial has been established for Northern Illinois Hospice.
