Freeport: Mona I. Wittbecker, 75, of Freeport passed over into God's loving light, on Tuesday July 24, 2007 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born October 8, 1931 in Freeport She was the daughter of Ernest and Corrine (Hoffman) Chappell. On May 21, 1949 she married Harold Wittbecker in Freeport, he preceded her in death in January of 2005.
Mona worked for Burgess Battery and then Micro Switch retiring in the 1980's, after her retirement she worked for the Freeport School District for many years.
