Obituary

Freeport-Monica L. Bookman, 89, of Freeport, died Saturday November 15, 2003, at Freeport Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Born December 20, 1913 in Freeport she was the daughter of Glen and Edna (Landgraf) Bookman.
She graduated from Freeport Senior High School.
A secretary for the Illinois Department of Public Aid, Stephenson County office, she retired in 1973 after 37 years of service.
She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church since 1926, was active in Girl Scouts, and knitted caps for the "Primies" born at Freeport Memorial Hospital
Surviving is one sister, Harriet M. Bookman of Freeport; several cousins, and special friend, Pam Meier of Freeport.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be Monday 1 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Robert L. Conner and Tom Hoefle of Second Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Friends may call Monday 12:30 p.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Second Presbyterian Church.
