Nancy C. D'Inverno, 82 of Freeport died Saturday, December 21, 2012 at Proven St. Joseph Home Freeport. Born September 4, 1930 in Freeport she was the daughter of Gaetano and Josephine (Giuffre) D'Inverno. She was a graduate of Aquin High School, Highland Community College and the University of Illinois. For over 30 years she taught school at Sterling High School and Jr. High. She was a member at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sterling. Surviving is a sister Bette (Larry) Hawes of Amboy; many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, and two sisters Mary Scibona and Margaret DiMarco. Visitation will be Tuesday 5 pm until 8pm at Walker Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be 10 am Wednesday at the Provena St. Joseph Sacred Heart Chapel with Father Robert Camacho officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Freeport.
