Dakota – Nancy Jane Weier passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, Nov 3 after a short illness.  Born on September 14, 1943 in Freeport to John and Helen M. (Babcock) Moore.  She graduated from Freeport High School in 1962.  On June 27, 1964 she married Wayne Weier in Freeport and together they built a life and raised two children, Kim and Wes.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Women of Moose and her hobbies included crocheting, word puzzles and loved bowling.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne, Son-in-law, Karl Schulz; daughter-in-law, Michele Weier; grandkids – Jessica Voss, Jordan Mowery, Brent (Jenny) Weier, Bryan (Destiney) Weier and 5 great grandkids.  Her special friends, Liz Hollis and Joan Glick as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her Parents; her in-laws; daughter, Kim Schulz; her son, Wes Weier; her granddaughter, Kylee; her brothers Todd Moore, Gary Moore, Neal Moore and her sister-in-law, Jackie McGee.

Per Nancy's request there will be no services.  A memorial has been established in Nancy's name.  The family would like to thank FHN Hospice for all of their help.  There will be a celebration of life on December 2, 2023 at the Beltline Café in Freeport beginning at 1pm.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com.
