Nellie Endriss (Penny) , age 74 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport. She was born at St. Francis Hospital in Freeport to Elmer and Josephine (Clancy) Love on August 24, 1944. Nellie and James Endriss were married on September 10, 1966.

She had formerly been employed at Anchor Harvey and Burgess Battery in Freeport. Nellie attended the Gospel Outreach Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and volunteering at the food bank.

Nellie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Endriss of Freeport. She is also survived by her dear son, Greg Love; sister, Alice Brattrud; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport with Pastor Steve Gearing officiating. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. also at Oakland Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
