Obituary
Nellie Montgomery, 100, of Freeport, died Saturday, December 22, 2007, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born February 27, 1907 in Freeport she was the daughter of Phillip and Maud (Spielman) Fawver. She married James E. Montgomery on September 21, 1935 in Oregon and he died August 16, 1993.
She worked at Furst McNess in Freeport for 13 years and then at Amerock in Rockford.
Surviving are her nieces, Nel (Jerry) Stearns and Dorothy Cox both of Freeport; and Kay Koester of Salt Lake City, Utah; her nephew, Ronald Binkley of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister; and one brother.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum.
