Freeport-Nicholaus J. "Nick" Feller Jr. 90, of Freeport, died Friday May 11, 2007 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born March 30, 1917 in Freeport he was the son of Nicholaus and Paula (Kornelly) Feller Sr. He married Margaret Geoghegan July 6, 1944 in England.
Nick owned and operated Feller Radio and TV from 1945 to 1983.
After retirement he worked at the Masonic Temple for 13 years.
A World War II veteran, he was in General Patton's Third Army, and served in the Fourth Armored Division February 1941 to October 1945.
His memberships include, Grace Episcopal Church, 32nd Degree Mason in the Excelsior Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies, winning the MSA award in 1977, Elks Lodge, lifetime member of the VFW, and a former member of the Germania Club.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret of Freeport, two sons, Bradley (Debra) Feller of Granville and Linden Feller of Freeport; one brother, Karl (Norma) Feller of Branson, MO; two grandchildren, Kari (Keith) Hardmeier of Lacon and Nathan Feller of LaSalle; four great grandchildren, Hannah and Tiffiney Hardmeier, Keagan and Eyan Feller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pauline Feller and Dorothy Morrow.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial service will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church with Reverend Mary Ann Hill officiating. Internment of his cremated remains will be in the Grace Episcopal Church Columbarium.
