Obituary
Norma M. Nast, age 96 of Freeport, IL, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Pearl Pavilion in Freeport. She was born on August 13, 1921; the daughter of the late John and Neva (Klosa) Veer. She attended Eastside Schools through the 10 th grade. Norma married Donald Nast on December 7, 1940; he passed on August 17, 1987,
She had worked for Burgess Battery, Micro Switch, Carson Pirie Scott, and Dr. Reed's dental office. She enjoyed crafts; sewing; and ceramics, which she taught in her home for several years.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Gary) Koehner of Freeport; grandchildren, Mike (Sarah) Russell, Linda (Don) Bryant, Randal Russell, and Bonnie (Jason) Bardell; and great grandchildren, Miranda & Evan Russell, Cameron & Kalah Bardell, and Samantha Henderson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and daughter, Joan and son-in-law, Larry Russell.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, August 10 th at 10:30 a.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in her name.Services
