Freeport-Opal M. Hutmacher, 86, of Freeport, died Friday, April 28, 2006, at FHN Memorial Hospital after a long illness with Parkinson Disease.
Born January 23, 1920 in Winneshiek she was the daughter of Boyd and Mabel (Nath) Thoman. She married Burdette Hutmacher August 19, 1939 and he died in 1969.
Opal worked at Burgess Battery, Micro Switch, and was a waitress in several Freeport restaurants.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Surviving is her son, Raymond J. (Judith) Hutmacher; one brother, Delmar (Dorothy) Thoman; one granddaughter, Shelley (James) Schroeder all of Freeport.
Opal's parents; husband; 4 sisters; and 1 brother preceded her in death.
Funeral service and interment will be Monday 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Reverend Neville Kretzmann officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
