Pamela K. Fellenzer, age 75 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 9, 1950 in Freeport; the daughter of the late Dale and Mary (Kurth) Stabenow. She was a 1968 graduate of Freeport High School and went on to attend Highland Community College. Pamela married David Fellenzer on September 12, 1970.
She was a Para Educator for the Freeport School District for over 30 years. She was a member of Harmony, formerly Embury, United Methodist Church of Freeport. Her memberships also include MOPS, the Liberty Village Association Board, the YWCA, and she was the recording secretary for PEO. Pamela was a founding member of the Pretzel City Strummers, playing the ukulele. In 1991 she was awarded the “Those Who Excel Award” from the Illinois State Board of Education.
Pamela loved visiting with her friends and traveling with her husband, David, especially their trips to Florida. She also enjoyed her flowers; her dogs, Heidi, Abby, and Coco. She also never missed a grandchild’s sporting and activity events, sometimes traveling all over the tri-state area to attend. Pamela will be remembered for her smile and for being a friend to anyone she met.
She is survived by her husband, David Fellenzer; daughter, Melissa (Craig) Geiser; son, Derek (Shannon) Fellenzer; grandchildren, Morgan (Ryan) Reeves, Lexie Geiser, Caden Geiser, Riley (Michael) Simpson, and Joey Fellenzer; sister-in-laws, Kay McIntyre, Charleen (Dale) Rolwes, Rosemary (Michael) Feldmann, Becky (Nils) Sandstrom, and Elizabeth “Betsy” (Patrick) Doyle; brother-in-law, Rodney (Barb) Fellenzer; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Debra Day.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Freeport. The memorial service will be Monday, May 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church in Freeport. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport.
