Patricia A. Baal , age 83 of Freeport, IL, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport. She was born August 25, 1934; the daughter of the late George and Bertha (Kuntzleman) McIlvanie. Patricia married Dale Baal on July 26, 1953; he passed on December 2, 1998.

She had worked for Mid-America Plastics in Forreston. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Freeport and the Women of the Moose, Chapter 548. She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Together, Patricia and Dale enjoyed dancing, going every weekend and attending Polka Festivals. She also loved bowling and bowled with the Monday Bells and the Four Seasons Ladies League. Most of all she loved spending time with and babysitting her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Dale H. (Bonnie) Baal, jr, of Forreston, IL; daughter, Peggy (Robert) Long of Freeport; grandchildren, Ryan (Carrie Knutti) Baal, Rikki (Chris) Parrin, Rhonda (Mark Lachcik) Baal, Shannon (George) Verner, Adam Luy, Casey (Skyler) Rettenmeier, Laticia (Austin Babler) Long, Tina Tempel, and Robbie Long; 15 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, grandson, sister, and 4 brothers.
