Freeport - Patricia M. Kubly, 90 of Freeport passed away at Ascension St. Joseph's Village on May 22, 2023.  She was born on July 9, 1932 to the late William and Elveta (Hamilton) Elgin.  She married Jim Bloyer August 2,1958 and together they built a life and had three sons, Roger, Robert and Dennis.  After Jim passed in 1987 she remarried  LaVerne H. Kubly July 17, 1991.  He passed in 1992.

She enjoyed traveling in her later years with her sister, Lavonne.  She also loved to have coffee with her friends and socializing with people.  In her earlier years she liked to landscape her home with beautiful flowers.  Trips to Branson, MO with her friends was also a favorite pastime.

She is survived by her son, Dennis and her sisters, Betty Forester, Shirley McCloud and Rose Sheley.  Her two grandchildren, Miranda McKichan and Sandra Bloyer, and many nieces and nephews.  She leaves behind her dear friend, Janet Busekros who was not only her lifelong friend, but her advocate when her health began to decline.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Bloyer and LaVerne Kubly; her sons, Roger Bloyer and Robert Bloyer, her sisters, Lavonne Folwer, Suzanna Royer and one brother Richard Elgin.

There will be a service on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11am at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.  Her final resting place will be there at Chapel Hill next to her first husband.
