Obituary

Freeport – Patricia Kay Ortiz, 64 of Freeport passed away at FHN Memorial Hospital on November 23, 2021 after a brief illness.  She was born on February 12, 1957 to the late William and Virginia (Evanson) Rinehart.

She was a member of Crossroads Community Church.  She had a servant's heart and was a wonderful volunteer for Joseph's Pantry, the Celebrate Recovery group and she especially loved the ladies small group that brought her much joy. Her church and her church family were very important to her.  She was also an avid reader and she walked in her faith on a daily basis.

Patricia was the loving mother of Janet Ortiz and her son, William Ortiz both of Freeport.  Patricia poured a lot of love into William and he was very close to his Grandma. Surviving also are her brothers, Daniel Rinehart of Janesville, WI; Theodore (Janice) Rinehart of Freeport; and William Rinehart of Colorado Springs, CO.  She also left behind her sister, Diane (Scott) Wilhelms of Sussex, WI.

Preceding her in death are her parents.  A memorial has been established in her name for Joseph's Pantry at Crossroads Community Church in Freeport.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life/Open House will be held on December 18 at Crossroads Community Church from 11AM - 1PM.
