Patricia (Patty) Robinson, 69, of Shannon, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026 at Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon, Illinois and was welcomed into the loving arms of God. She was born March 7, 1957 in Freeport, Illinois to Edgar Paul and Dorothy Grace (Shibley) Myers. She married Lyle Robinson on January 5, 1979. He passed away on January 6, 2020.

Patty was a lifelong resident of Shannon and graduated from Shannon High School in 1975. She began working at an early age and her work ethic was exemplary. Her last position was with Newell Robbermaid, where she was employed for 33 years and where she developed many lifelong friendships.

Patty is survived by her son, Lucas (Kara) Robinson of Forreston, IL; step-son, Trent (Kim) Robinson of Shannon, IL; sister, Melinda (Mark) Fellner of Eureka, IL; dearly loved granddaughter, Oakleigh; niece, Stephanie Allen of Pekin, IL; nephew, Kyle (Emily) Fellner of Eureka, IL and their children, Harper, Camden, and Hattie; her horse, Dina; and her beloved dogs, Chase followed by Nicci.

In 2003, Patty and Lyle built their dream house/farm on the outskirts of Shannon. They named it Grazeland. Patty loved animals, particularly dogs, so much so that she studied with ABC Training and became a certified dog trainer. Many other animals were welcomed to the farm including cats, horses, goats, donkeys, chickens, and more.

Patty loved the outdoors and maintaining her farm. Until her illness, anyone driving through town would see her either mowing, caring for the horses, or doing some other kind of outside work. She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon, Illinois, where she taught Sunday School, mentored students, sang in the choir, and prepared baked goods for Sunday School classes. She was also an avid NASCAR & Chicago Bears fan and became a Chicago Cubs fan this summer.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Dawn; and her husband.

A celebration of life will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. Donations in her memory may be made to Friends Forever Humane Society and/or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
