Freeport - Patricia "Pat" A Strohacker, 74, of Freeport, died Sunday, July 18, 2004, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born August 20, 1929 in Freeport she was the daughter of Theron and Esther (Herbig) Tavenner. She married Jerome J. Strohacker June 29, 1974.
She was a local hairdresser for many years and worked at Micro Switch for 15 years when she retired to take care of her parents.
A wonderful mother she will be remembered as a loving giving person.
An avid card player she enjoyed bingo, trips to the casino, gardening, fishing, dancing and winter trips to the Gulf Shore in Alabama.
Surviving is her husband, Jerome of Freeport; daughter, Marcia L. (James) Gorski of Merrimac, Wisconsin; son, Steve C. Myers of Ridott; step children, Vicki L. Swick of Apple River and Kim A Strohacker of Mocksville, NC; 2 sisters, June L. (Ronald) Hawley and Betty C. Mielke both of Freeport; 3 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her good friend, Betty Williams of Freeport.
Her parents and one niece preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be Thursday 1 p.m. at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established in her name.
