Freeport: Paul James "Butch" Huenefeld, 49, of Freeport died Tuesday November 23, 2004 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born September 20, 1955 in Freeport he was the son of Frederick Sr. and Betty (Gerloff) Huenefeld. Paul bartended in the Freeport area for years, he worked for Freeport Sanitation and helped his father in the salvage business. He loved being with his family, friends and his dog Little E, he was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan and was a member of the Freeport Eagles Club. He is survived by his Mother Betty Huenefeld, his life long partner Wanda Gums, his daughter Tara, his son William and his best friend Little E. brothers and sisters, Frederick (Carol) Huenefeld, Eleanore (Charlie) Haney, Robert (Lori) Huenefeld, Nancy (Tom) Tilburg, Vickie (Larry) Page, Henry (Mary) Huenefeld, Diane (Frank) Berogan, Edgar Huenefeld, Martha Huenefeld, Donald Huenefeld, John (Martina) Huenefeld. 23 nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews. His father, grandparents and many aunts and uncles preceded him in death. Graveside service will be conducted by the Fraternal order of the Eagles Monday 11:00 am at City Cemetery. Burial will be in City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 am until time of service at Walker Mortuary. A memorial has been established in his name.
