Paul G. Davis , 81 of Forreston died suddenly at home.  He was born January 11, 1940 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Silas and Lola (Sykes) Davis.  He married Margret Bauer on October 30, 1958 until her passing on May 19, 1986. He served in the United States Army from 1956 – 1959 where he was stationed in Germany.

Paul was a man who enjoyed many things in life including chewing tobacco, watching old movies, flower gardening, cooking, sitting outside enjoying nature and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Patty Davis of Rockford and Judy (Duane) Cullor of Freeport; his sisters, Jeanette (Luther) Rowlett of Belvidere and Lillie McGhee of Rockledge, FL.  His legacy also includes 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his young daughter, Holly Ann and his sister, Eva Lou Welch.

Holding true to his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no formal funeral service.  His final resting place will be in Kentucky.
