Pittsburg, Missouri-Paul R Frederick, 74, of Pittsburg, Missouri, formerly of Freeport, died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at the Harry S. Truman Veteran's Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Born August 4, 1930 in Lena he was the son of George and Rosa (Hart) Frederick. He married Marie Scherer October 20, 1972.
He was a foreman for N.G. Gilbert Company and then worked in management for the Kelly Springfield Tire Company both in Freeport and Tyler, Texas. After leaving Kelly Springfield he worked in Motel management and at time of death was employed by R.G.I.S. in Platt City, Missouri.
A Korean Conflict veteran he was a member of the Illinois National Guard and Illinois Army Reserve.
Surviving is his wife, Marie of Pittsburg, Missouri; 1 daughter, Deborah (Kerry) Brendemuehl of Freeport; 2 sons, Darcey (fiancé Darlene Incelli) Frederick of Freeport; Dennis (Tammy) Jacobs of Pollack, Missouri; 3 sisters, Opal Ritzman of Lena, Joyce Pfile of Freeport, Marcella (Don) Gaul of Forreston; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Delbert Jacobs II; 2 sisters; 4 brothers.
Funeral service will be Thursday 10:30 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
