Paul Wolfe, 80 of Freeport, IL passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born, July 23, 1936 in Carrollton, Il the oldest of eight children. He was born to Loren and Bertha (Thien) Wolfe.

He married Marilyn Wirtjes on August 19, 1978. He attended Baileyville Baptist Church. Paul served in the US Navy. He worked at Micro Switch, did roofing and was self- employed as "Wolfe's Livestock". He also had been a member of the Eagle's Club. Paul enjoyed golfing and wintering in Florida with Marilyn. He also enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears.

He is survived by brothers Dick (Judy) Wolfe and Mike Wolfe both of Florida. His sisters are Peggy (Daylon) Reed of Arizona and Pat (David) Daws of Freeport. Paul is also survived by step-son, David (Shirley) Wirtjes of Freeport. He has several step grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters; Anita (LaVerne) Schindler and Cathy Wolfe as well as his brother Jim (Barb) Wolfe.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 27th at 11:00 am at Walker Mortuary in Freeport with Pastor Bob Leverton Jr. presiding. Visitation will be from10:00 am until time of service. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in his name
